Accounts Executive

What is expected of you?

• Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure all accounting requirements are delivered accurately and on time
• Prepare management accounts for assigned clients
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with statutory deadlines
• Ensure all accounting tasks are completed in line with regulatory and statutory requirements
• Liaise with the Tax team regarding tax computations, tax returns, tax refunds, and other tax-related matters
• Communicate with auditors, the Malta Business Registry, the VAT Department, and other relevant authorities when required
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain information and supporting documentation for financial reporting and statutory submissions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering a high standard of customer service
• Participate in client meetings relating to your assigned portfolio
• Support the wider accounting team with additional accounting duties as required

What are you expected to bring?

• A minimum of 2 years of experience within a Client Accounting environment
• Partly qualified Accountant with a relevant degree in Accountancy or currently in the final stages of the ACCA qualification
• Experience working with licensed entities or financial services companies will be considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT compliance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• A client-focused approach with a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional service
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Good working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple client portfolios and competing deadlines
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
