Analyst - Treasury
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical finance professional to contribute to the Bank's investment and funding strategy, credit analysis, liquidity management, interest-rate risk, and balance-sheet optimisation.
What is expected of you?
- Support the preparation and delivery of monthly Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) reports, including the collection, analysis, and presentation of key data, metrics, trends, and recommendations
- Prepare credit analyses for prospective investments within the Bank's proprietary investment portfolio
- Carry out periodic credit assessments of financial and corporate investment exposures, supporting internal credit ratings, capital allocation, and solvency requirements
- Analyse the Bank's credit, liquidity, foreign exchange, and interest-rate positions, identifying relevant risks and opportunities
- Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Bank's interest-rate risk models, data, and systems
- Analyse the performance of Treasury assets under management and provide insight to support ALCO recommendations and strategic decision-making
- Monitor customer-deposit trends, market share, average cost, maturity profiles, liquidity quality, repo eligibility, balance-sheet developments, and risk-weighted assets
- Contribute to the review and enhancement of Treasury-related policies, including Treasury Management, Collateral Management, Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity and Funding, and Contingency Funding and Recovery policies
- Stay informed on market and regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on the Bank's investment and funding strategy
- Support the implementation of Treasury projects, including initiatives arising from new regulatory requirements
- Assist with departmental invoice payments and maintain accurate invoicing and agreement records
What are you expected to bring?
- At least 3 years' experience in a financial or investment environment, together with an MQF Level 5 qualification in Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field; or
- At least 4 years' relevant experience in a financial or investment environment; or
- At least 1 year of relevant experience together with an MQF Level 6 Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with an interest in investments, markets, and banking regulation
- The ability to manage several tasks concurrently and deliver high-quality work in line with business needs
- A responsible, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented approach to work
- Experience with coding and/or Power BI will be considered an asset
