Assistant Maintenance Manager

What is expected of you?

• Assist in coordinating and supervising the day-to-day maintenance operations across the property
• Support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing both in-house maintenance teams and external contractors
• Monitor preventative and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure works are completed efficiently and on time
• Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance projects while minimising disruption to daily operations
• Provide guidance, technical support, and direction to maintenance team members
• Liaise with Heads of Departments regarding maintenance schedules, project updates, and operational impacts
• Assist in obtaining, reviewing, and evaluating quotations for maintenance materials and services
• Verify the quality of materials, equipment, and completed maintenance works
• Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programmes to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency
• Help ensure the efficient operation of all building systems, including HVAC, ELV, electrical, plumbing, and general building infrastructure
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work schedules, and documentation

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience in a senior or supervisory maintenance role, preferably within hospitality, leisure, or another fast-paced operational environment
• A Higher Technician Diploma (HTD) or an equivalent technical qualification
• A valid Local Driving Licence A and B
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, ELV, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance systems
• Experience supervising maintenance teams and coordinating external contractors will be considered an asset
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance planning and maintenance best practices
• Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
