Audit Associate

Our client is seeking a motivated Audit Associate to join its growing Assurance team in Malta. The successful candidate will contribute actively to audit engagements, taking ownership of assigned sections while working closely with experienced colleagues who will support their technical and professional development.

What is expected of you?

- Complete assigned sections of audit engagements with increasing independence and accuracy
- Prepare clear and well-organised audit working papers in line with internal methodologies and applicable professional standards
- Identify and document straightforward audit issues, findings, and discrepancies
- Address review points promptly and apply feedback consistently
- Manage assigned responsibilities effectively to meet engagement deadlines
- Communicate progress, challenges, and findings clearly to senior members of the audit team
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality audit engagements across various industries
- Support colleagues and collaborate positively with the wider Assurance team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the accounting and auditing standards relevant to the position

What are you expected to bring?

- Previous experience in audit, accounting, or finance would be considered an advantage
- Currently pursuing or intending to pursue ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively towards deadlines
- A positive and proactive attitude
- A genuine willingness to learn and commitment to continuous professional development
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
