Client Accountant

What is expected of you?

• Prepare, maintain, update, and finalise accounting records for a portfolio of clients
• Process both technical and non-technical accounting information within accounting systems
• Prepare and submit personal income tax returns
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with local regulations
• Prepare monthly and periodic management accounts
• Prepare trial balances and support financial reporting processes
• Maintain accurate cash books and accounting journals
• Liaise with regulatory and supervisory authorities when required
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality across all accounting activities
• Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality client service while meeting deadlines

What are we looking for?

• ACCA qualified or University of Malta degree in Accountancy
• Previous experience within an accounting function will be considered an asset
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be considered an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Adaptable, proactive, and self-motivated with a positive attitude
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
