Engineering Technician

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production equipment and utilities, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting the smooth and safe operation of the manufacturing facility.

Candidates must be willing to work on a rotating shift schedule:

• Morning shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Afternoon shift: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
  

What is expected of you?

• Perform and document preventive maintenance on production equipment and utilities according to the maintenance schedule
• Carry out and document corrective maintenance interventions
• Support the Engineering Supervisor in maintaining the effectiveness and functionality of all equipment and utilities
• Perform in-house calibrations according to established calibration programmes
• Support subcontracted technicians during equipment calibration
• Execute equipment qualification protocols when required
• Assist the Production Department with equipment setup for production runs
• Record all spare parts used during maintenance interventions in the appropriate system
• Ensure that all mechanical and electrical safety features remain effective and functional
• Perform cutting, welding, and other hot-work operations when required
• Maintain production machinery, utilities, and surrounding areas to high cleanliness and safety standards
• Support current and ongoing departmental projects
• Assist with routine pest-control treatments when necessary
• Follow all applicable health and safety, quality, and GMP procedures
  

What are you expected to bring?

• A relevant technical qualification from MCAST or an equivalent institution and/or an Electrical Licence A or B
• At least two years of experience as a Technician or in a similar position
• Willingness and availability to work rotating shifts from 6:00 AM–2:00 PM and 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
• Experience working in a GMP environment would be considered an advantage but is not essential
• Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A self-motivated and results-oriented approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
