Fiduciary & Security Trustee Manager

This is a pivotal, control-focused role requiring strong technical judgement, commercial awareness, and the confidence to operate at Board level. You will act as a key gatekeeper, safeguarding fiduciary integrity, overseeing risk exposure, and ensuring the disciplined execution of high-value transactions across the lifecycle of trust and debt structures.

What is expected of you?

• Leading Board-level reporting on trust portfolios, providing insight into covenant compliance, asset coverage, and emerging risks
• Acting as the escalation point for material risks, including default events, credit deterioration, and collateral exposure
• Overseeing ongoing monitoring of mandates, including covenants, reserve accounts, and debt service obligations
• Managing the onboarding and structuring of security trustee assignments, ensuring legal robustness and operational readiness
• Exercising strict oversight of capital flows, including disbursement approvals and adherence to governing instruments
• Controlling the release of funds and collateral in line with conditions precedent and transaction structures
• Ensuring accurate and timely statutory filings, including MFSA reporting and TUBOR updates
• Collaborating closely with Compliance, MLRO, and Company Secretarial teams to maintain regulatory and governance standards

What are you expected to bring?

• 3–5 years’ experience within a regulated CSP, legal firm, or financial institution, with exposure to trusts, security trustee mandates, or structured finance
• Strong technical understanding of Maltese fiduciary and corporate law, including the Trusts and Trustees Act and Companies Act
• Good knowledge of security structures such as pledges, hypothecs, CP frameworks, and debt instruments
• Financial literacy with the ability to interpret management accounts and funding structures
• Strong attention to detail combined with professional scepticism and risk awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Confidence engaging with Boards, regulators, and senior stakeholders
