Finance Clerk

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their accounting and finance career while gaining hands-on experience within a professional and supportive environment.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across accounting and administrative processes.

What is expected of you?

• Provide accounting and administrative support to the Financial Controller
• Issue sales invoices through the accounting system
• Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate allocation to the correct nominal accounts
• Prepare payment runs and reconcile the trade payable ledger
• Post payments and receipts within the accounting system
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist with maintaining accurate financial records
• Support the Finance and Administration teams with various accounting and operational tasks
• Assist with ad hoc finance-related duties as required
  

What are you expected to bring?

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar finance or accounting role
• A-Level standard in Accounting or a related field
• Currently pursuing a professional qualification such as ACCA would be considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience using Xero will be considered an advantage
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and develop professionally
