Gardener
Our client is seeking an experienced Gardener to join their team in Malta. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hands-on individual with previous professional gardening experience who takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day care and maintenance of gardens and landscaped areas, ensuring that all outdoor spaces remain clean, healthy, attractive, and well-maintained throughout the year.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
What is expected of you?
- Carry out general garden and landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, trimming, weeding, and watering
- Maintain lawns, plants, trees, shrubs, and flower beds to a high standard
- Operate gardening tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Monitor plants and landscaped areas for pests, diseases, or other maintenance requirements
- Apply fertilisers and other gardening treatments when required
- Keep gardens, pathways, and surrounding outdoor areas clean and tidy
- Assist with seasonal planting and general landscaping activities
- Identify maintenance issues and report any required repairs or additional work
- Ensure gardening tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures while carrying out duties
What are you expected to bring?
- Previous professional experience as a Gardener or in a similar landscaping role is a must
- Good knowledge of plants, gardening techniques, and general landscape maintenance
- Experience using gardening tools and equipment
- Ability to carry out physically demanding outdoor work
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently
- Good attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to work
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
