What is expected of you?

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and HR-related matters, providing timely and professional support
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and offboarding processes
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including job advertising, CV screening, interviews, reference checks, employment contracts, and work permit applications where required
  • Prepare employment contracts and coordinate onboarding programmes, inductions, and probation reviews
  • Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and documentation while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity
  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Submit employee information to the relevant Maltese authorities and government entities
  • Liaise closely with the payroll team to ensure all employee changes are communicated accurately and on time
  • Coordinate the performance management process, supporting managers with appraisals, KPIs, and development plans
  • Identify training needs and coordinate internal, external, and CPD training programmes
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programmes, and team-building activities
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management information as required
  • Support the HR Manager with employee relations matters and conflict resolution
  • Assist with additional HR projects and administrative duties as required

What are you expected to bring?

  • A minimum of A-Level standard education
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Good understanding of Maltese Employment Law and experience liaising with local authorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
