Junior Tax Accountant

The Job

‍As Junior Tax Accountant you will be expected to handle a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Support clients across various industries with the preparation of income tax computations, preparation and submission of Malta income tax returns, tax refund claims, and other relevant tax documentation
• Ensure accurate and timely filing in line with regulatory requirements
• Assist the tax team with tax transactions and provide guidance on proper tax compliance
• Stay up to date with changes in Malta tax legislation and provide informed advice
• Liaise with Malta tax authorities on behalf of clients
• Consistently promote a collaborative, team-oriented approach in alignment with the Firm’s values

Requirements

‍The preferred candidate for this role should possess:

• ACCA qualified, or currently working towards ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years’ experience in an Accounts focused role; previous experience in a Malta tax compliance position would be considered an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English
• Detail-oriented, with proven strength in maintaining accuracy and consistency
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to professional growth
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly MS Excel
