Legal Associate

This opportunity is suited to a lawyer with 3 to 4 years of post-qualification experience who is looking to take ownership of defined workstreams and play a key role in delivering legal and regulatory services across a diverse client portfolio.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of matters spanning corporate services, financial services, iGaming, regulatory advisory, compliance frameworks, licensing, and transactional support, while collaborating closely with experienced legal professionals in a dynamic and professional environment.

What is expected of you?

• Draft agreements, legal memoranda, advisory opinions, submissions, and other legal documentation
• Manage assigned legal matters and workstreams within agreed deadlines
• Execute legal and regulatory projects under the guidance of senior team members
• Conduct legal research and analysis, providing practical and commercially focused solutions
• Communicate directly with clients regarding delegated aspects of ongoing matters
• Coordinate day-to-day activities relating to assigned projects and client engagements
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all legal deliverables
• Identify and escalate strategic, regulatory, or legal risks when appropriate
• Support regulatory, licensing, compliance, and corporate advisory engagements
• Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members where required

What are you expected to bring?

• Warrant to practice law in Malta
• 3 to 4 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience
• Previous exposure to financial services, corporate services, and/or the iGaming industry will be considered a strong asset
• Experience in regulatory advisory, compliance frameworks, licensing matters, or transactional support is highly desirable
• Excellent drafting skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with limited supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English
• Professional, confident, and client-focused approach
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
