Maintenance Manager
What is expected of you?
- Lead and oversee all maintenance operations, including both in-house maintenance teams and external service providers
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the property
- Develop and implement maintenance plans, project timelines, and work schedules to ensure operational efficiency
- Manage maintenance projects from planning through to completion while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to maintenance personnel, ensuring high performance and productivity
- Liaise closely with Heads of Departments and senior management to communicate maintenance schedules, project progress, and operational impacts
- Monitor the performance of contractors and suppliers, ensuring all works are completed to the required quality standards and within agreed timeframes
- Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, quotations, and maintenance-related expenditure while ensuring cost-effective procurement
- Verify the quality of materials, equipment, and completed maintenance works
- Ensure the efficient operation of all building systems, including HVAC, ELV, electrical, plumbing, and general building infrastructure
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, increase operational efficiency, and reduce downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, schedules, and documentation
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Maintenance Manager or senior maintenance leadership role
- A Higher Technician Diploma (HTD) or an equivalent technical qualification
- A valid Local Driving Licence A and B
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, ELV, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance systems
- Proven experience managing both in-house maintenance teams and external contractors
- Demonstrated experience developing preventative maintenance programmes, project plans, and maintenance schedules
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and supplier relationships
- Strong leadership, organisational, and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
