Plumbing Helper

Our client is currently seeking a Plumbing Helper to join their growing technical team in Malta. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within the plumbing and mechanical services industry.
Reporting to the Plumbing Charge Hand, you will support plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems while ensuring a safe, organised, and efficient working environment across a variety of commercial and industrial projects.

What is expected from you?

• Assist plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair works on plumbing systems
• Support general plumbing preparation work as directed by the Plumbing Charge Hand
• Carry, lift, and transport tools, materials, and equipment safely across work sites
• Load, unload, inspect, and organise deliveries of plumbing materials and supplies
• Gather and prepare the tools and materials required for daily plumbing activities
• Assist with the handling, setup, and movement of plumbing equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times
• Keep storage areas, tools, and equipment clean, organised, and in good working condition
• Identify potential hazards, defects, or maintenance issues and report them to the supervisor
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, health and safety regulations, and industry standards
• Immediately report any problems, equipment failures, or safety concerns that may impact operations or clients
• Support the wider plumbing team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule

What are we looking for?

• Secondary School Certificate (considered an asset)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience within the mechanical, plumbing, or construction industry is preferred
• Good understanding of the construction industry and site-based environments
• Strong work ethic with a positive and reliable attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong organisational and active listening skills
• Proactive approach with good problem-solving abilities
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Valid European passport or the legal right to work in Malta
• Clean Police Conduct Certificate (required prior to employment)
