Warehouse Manager

Our client is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead its warehouse operations in Malta. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse and logistics professional with a strong background in regulated manufacturing environments who is looking to take on a strategic leadership role.

Reporting to senior management, you will oversee the efficient management of warehouse operations while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

The successful candidate will combine strong leadership, operational expertise, and analytical skills to ensure efficient inventory management, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of high service standards across warehouse operations.

What is expected of you?

• Lead and oversee all warehouse operations, including the storage and movement of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, finished products, and consumables
• Ensure all warehouse activities comply with GMP, GDP, Health & Safety, and internal quality standards
• Manage, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and operators, supporting recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development
• Maintain accurate inventory control through ERP systems, stock reconciliation, and cycle counting programmes
• Oversee temperature-controlled storage areas and ensure the appropriate handling of hazardous materials where applicable
• Lead investigations relating to inventory discrepancies, deviations, customer complaints, and CAPAs associated with warehouse operations
• Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal quality audits
• Monitor warehouse KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost optimisation
• Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to ensure efficient operational planning
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the warehouse
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and warehouse service partners where required
• Identify and implement process improvements, warehouse layout enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives to maximise storage capacity and operational efficiency

What are we looking for?

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of five years' experience managing warehouse operations within a pharmaceutical, healthcare, chemical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment
• At least three years' experience in a leadership or management position
• Strong understanding of GMP, GDP, inventory management, and warehouse best practices
• Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience will be considered an asset
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Maltese will be considered an advantage
